Welsh Orchard

One of our larger themed orchards, the Welsh orchard contains varieties of fruit trees that were either of Welsh origin such as the Bardsey Apple or were popular in the country like Morgan Sweet.

It is located at Maes-y-felin and includes some unusual varieties which you are less likely to see in South Wales.

Planted up in 2012 the orchard also contains two raised beds containing a selection of herbs recorded as being used by the Physicians of Myddfai who are documented as having practised from the 12th century for many hundreds of years but may go back even further in time.
